Course Overview

Designed for the general public, corporate employees, and safety officers, this course provides the critical knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to common emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses. It satisfies the occupational health and safety requirements for workplaces in Kenya (DOSHS compliance).

Syllabus & Core Objectives

1Introduction to first aid and emergency scene safety
2Calling for help and local emergency responder contacts
3CPR for adults and children (Hands-only and standard chest compressions)
4Foreign-body airway obstruction relief (choking)
5Managing bleeding, cuts, scrapes, and tourniquet application
6Splinting fractures, sprains, and managing joint dislocations
7Responding to medical emergencies: heart attacks, strokes, diabetic shocks, seizures
8Burns, poisoning, insect/snake bites management
